Wednesday Night Drop-In is a welcoming, community-centered program whose goal is to provide a safe and accepting setting for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 16 and above to socialize and enjoy themselves.
Drop-In takes place once a month on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:30pm, September through June, at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton Corner. Drop-In activities include bingo, dances, special dinners and an annual dog show. Sessions are only $5 per person thanks to funding provided by a Community Development Block Grant from the City of Newton and private donations from community members.
Drop-In is also a great setting for volunteers to get involved in NWW's work. We welcome college students, youth groups, outreach groups from communities of faith, and individuals and families to volunteer with us.
Contact our Drop-In Director Keavy Smith to inquire about volunteering at Drop-In at ksmith(at)nwwcommittee.org.
All participants are required to submit an emergency contact form on their first date of attendance. To complete the form in advance, please fill out an online emergency contact form or download the printable form.
